Meeting Chanel

Chanel came to us at a perfect time. We just had our foster pup adopted and I get an email saying there is a pup that needs some help.

Breeder surrender, does not like people AT ALL, is untouchable. My pick up consisted of cornering this little one and she jumps into the crate.

We had some running around to do that day, we every so often we checked in and talked to her and let her sniff our hand. In the couple hours of running around, she went from shaking in the corner to actually walking up to our hands and sniffing. Progress!

Fast forward, taking my daughter to a local playground. Okay, we take her out on a beautiful day and see what she does. She again went from shaking to, walking out of the crate, sniffing, curious, and sipping some water. Progress!

Then we secured her in a soft harness and martingale collar and just let her sniff the house. Showered and scared.....it was an overwhelming first day.

We just let her be the rest of the evening.
